ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Holt on Sunday night (January 12).
About 9.30pm a 30-year-old man was walking along Luke Street in Holt, behind the Kippax Uniting Church, when he was approached by four male youths, one of whom demanded his wallet and phone.
The man has refused at which point one of the youths produced a knife, threatening him unless he handed over his phone and wallet.
The man complied and the offenders ran off. They were last seen running towards the Kippax playing fields.
The first offender is described as of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 15 to 16 years old, between 170-180cm tall (5’7” – 5’11”), with a thin build. He was wearing a black baseball hat with the logo ‘DC’, blue T-shirt, dark coloured shorts and carrying a skateboard.
The second offender is described as Caucasian appearance, approximately 15 to 16 years old, between 170 180cm tall (5’7” – 5’11”), with a thin build, a light goatee beard and both ears pierced. He was wearing a black baseball cap, white T-shirt with logo writing on the front and back, and blue denim shorts. He had a BMX style bike with him.
The third offender is described as Caucasian appearance, approximately 15 to 16 years old, between 170cm-180cm tall (5’7” – 5’11”), with a thin build, a light moustache and both ears pierced. He was wearing a white baseball cap, blue T-shirt, black shorts and carrying a skateboard.
The fourth offender is described as Caucasian appearance, approximately 15 to 16 years old, between 170-180cm tall (5’7” – 5’11”), with a thin build, and a light beard. He was wearing a blue baseball hat, blue T-shirt, white shorts and carrying a skateboard.
Police are urging anyone with information about the aggravated robbery, the offenders or anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity around Kippax between 9.30pm and 10pm to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
