dead osama street art

Liam has sent in this one from the Albert Hall bus shelter.

Nice to see Canberra’s street artists running highly topical.

At what point does crap stencil art become run of the mill graffiti?

The point at which it’s done.

lmao

Why can’t it be both?

It can. Unless it’s put on private or public places without permission – then it’s graffito.

There was one at Woden next to the Pratt prat prank graffiti memorial on Tuesday morning. A little bit better stencilled than this one.
Maybe the mad cat feeding lady can take a pic and post next time she’s there.

Why can’t it be both? Plenty of people think that various pieces of “public art” ’round Canberra are masterpieces of imagination and form, while an equal (greater?) number think they are piles of scrap metal in need of recycling.

This “stencil art” IS both artistic political commentary AND run of the mill destructive graffiti.

Just seems that everyone who watches ‘Exit Through The Gift Shop’ is magically awarded an advanced diploma in stencil art.

When I said that I was being more then a little cynical about the US and their adherence to the rules of war.

The bullet might well penetrate the head, since they would not be using hollow points, as they are banned by the Hague Convention of 1899.

…not entirely sure that would be an issue for the US Navy Seals that performed the raid… The US is not known for allowing law/conventions to get in the way in respect to terrorists… nor good taste, ethics etc…

The bullet should be coming out with the blood splatter. Actually it would probably have broken apart inside the skull but you could give them some poetic licence.

SO IT’S A FORGERY!!!!

;-P

In addition the US has stated (although we all know how accurate that can be) he was shot through his left eye socket not his right ear.

@#1: blood splatter all messed up… or so extensive viewing of CSI would have me believe… also – should have been above the left eye (removing a section of skull)… apparently…

I think maybe in this instance the “Ha Ha” might be a expression of humorous delight rather then a tag?

Actually, 5.56 NATO is designed to fragment from the base, although there is a chance they may have been using 9mm which turns into a neat little mushroom on impact.

Maybe the Ha Ha was the artists way of saying that the shooter was actually Nelson Muntz

1. Doesn’t bear a resemblance to Osama.
2. The blood spray is on the wrong side
3. The “HA HA” tag is the same as the street art in Garema Place.

The HA HA tag in the City is actually from a Melbourne based stencil artist, he didn’t do this Osama stencil.

But who can see the error giving the forgery away?
