The other day I opened the switchboard on the side of my house in Lyons, lo and behold someone had bestowed me with a brand new Electricity meter! I am home alot and somehow managed to completely miss the installers, I am presuming it was ACTEW (being that it says property of ACTEWAGL on the front of the new one).
Gone are the days of the mechanical meter as this new one appears to be entirely digital and comes complete with digital tariff readout and flash red LED’s.
It gave me a HAL 9000 vibe and I was debating whether to talk at it and see if it responded. Anyways I was wondering if any other home owners have had brand new meters bestowed upon them and if they were around for the installation?
