Is Joe just jealous Sydney has no Skywhale?

We’ve now got his Highness Stanhope putting his two bob’s worth in saying the Skywhale has embarrassed the ACT government, damaged Canberra’s image and given fuel to Canberra-bashers for years to come.FFS can you just go away!

That wasn’t the only Daily Telegraph rant about Canberra this week. On Wednesday Miranda Devine published a piece which described Canberra as “a town on steroids” basking in the smugness that secure employment brings. Hell, we even have our own foodie district – New Acton. That’s a newie by me, I always thought our “foodie district” was in Dickson. Oh well, I’ve only been living here for 43 years, I guess people who fly in and fly out after a few hours are far more knowledgeable.

Who cares what he says about Canberra…

So why is Joe Hildebrand a somebody? I just don’t get it.

Butt hurt because he couldn’t smoke indoors & forgot to pack his warm clothes… writes horribly outdated rant on how terrible Canberra is…

Joe is so shy and self-effacing – perhaps you should post the Moby-Franger hat to him so he can wear it next time he appears on Q&A – it might just get him some attention, and finally give him the confidence to speak up.

Anyway, it was very nice of Joe to compare us with Sydney’s Upper North Shore – if word gets around, we might attract some of those well-heeled pensioners looking to take advantage of the new downscale, bank the cash, and keep your pension policy announced in the Budget. That sort of support could be handy for our property market later this year.
