Yes, I had my only trip/stay in hospital (thus far) at the “old” Canberra Hospital. The fool that made its demolition a family outing (you know what happened) should be shot.

The whole “lack of beds” (waiting list) problem is, and always has been, more of a problem with too many administrative staff and not enough medical staff.

Who decided that nurses would be better trained if they did a 3 year course at ANU? Then turn up on a Ward and know everything but have no practical experience? Bloody pollies.

As a side issue, who decided that Teachers should do a 3 year course at Uni and end up “experienced”, instead of the 4/5 years at Teachers College which gave them “teaching skills”?

The solution is obvious: A three pronged strategy.

1) Katy and her partner need to leed another delegation to Scandinavia to see how to deal with waiting lists.

2) Katy and Jon need to build a new hospital, a smoking ceremony to open it, more brass plates with JS’s name on them and another piece of slapstick comedy like the Hume Hilton.

3) The $ 30 M waste from Action could be recovered and spent on health, i.e. we reverse the situation where a new bus driver is paid more than a new doctor.

Or perhaps we just need more MLA’s to deal with all this complex s***.

Is it too early to ask the Liberals for an indication of their policies? As much as I don’t want to rain on the bottom feeding scum sucker’s parade, I reckon we deserve a little more from an opposition party than, “I told you it wouldnt work.”
