Just in case you thought we didn’t have racists around here

By johnboy - 3 September 2013 7

Joe has sent in this disappointing effort.

For the headbangers who still think getting work up about Islam is still a good idea The Economist has an excellent article on why you’re a bloody idiot:

ISLAMIC fundamentalism is more destructive than most people in the West can possibly imagine, but so is Western Islamophobia.

Not that Simon Sheikh’s political views are much in keeping with Sharia law, nor is making assumptions about someone on the basis of their name a very good idea*

* Possible exemption for creative uses of the letter “y”.

What’s Your opinion?

I’m a headbanger from way back.

Since when has a devotion to heavy metal music made one a racist?

In fact, most heavy metal lyrics (the big, flag bearing bands of the sub-genres) are a little left of centre politically speaking. In the USA they call them liberals.

If I had thinner skin I’d be affronted at the comparison.

Actually, that guy with the spray can is now being a bit restrained. Last week he was urging us to “Leb-proof the Senate”.
