Killed by horses and coach

ACT Policing is investigating an incident that occurred at the Canberra Region Transport Show this morning (Sunday, September 30) in which a 65-year-old man died.

At about 10am police were called to the Transport Industry Skills Centre on Sutton Road after receiving reports of a man being seriously injured by a horse-and-coach.

The man was attempting to restrain the horses when he was knocked to the ground and run over by the horses and coach.

ACT Ambulance conveyed the man to The Canberra Hospital for treatment where he later died.

ACT Policing is preparing a brief for the ACT Coroner.

Anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet contacted police is asked to call police on 131 444.
