On a day when it’s hard to criticize we have a rare Liberal policy, more money for Veterans groups:

ACT Opposition Leader Zed Seselja and ACT Shadow Veterans’ Affairs Minister Jeremy Hanson today announced that if elected, the Canberra Liberals will give veterans’ organisations access to grants totalling $400,000 over four years.

“The Canberra Liberals wholeheartedly support the work of veterans’ organisations, which support ex-service personnel and their families,” Mr Seselja said today.

“We are very pleased to be able to help them through grants of $100,000 every year to continue this important work. This would be over and above their current access to government funding.

“These grants could be used for a range of purposes including capital works, administrative support, welfare support, remembrance ceremonies, memorials, and legal or advocacy work.”
