The Finalists screening for Lights! Canberra! Action! was held on Friday night in Garema Place. A good-sized crowd turned out to watch the 12 finalist films, selected from 40 entries in this year’s competition.
The standard of entry this year was very high. The bar seems to keep getting raised every year, and I honestly think we’re getting to the stage where some of the films would give Tropfest finalists a run for their money, despite the fact that LCA films have to be completely produced within the ten days of the competition.

Although my film “KV” was a finalist (my 7th year running in the Top 12), I unfortunately wasn’t able to pick up any prizes this year 🙁 But for those who are interested, here’s my entry in this year’s Lights! Canberra! Action! 🙂
