Look both ways before crossing the street

Special G 15 November 2007 53

I was reading the the CT (second page) this morning that the little car thief who killed Clea Rose in the bus interchange has already been picked up for stealing cars again only 4 months since being released on parole after serving 18 months of a 3 year sentence. There a several previous threads on Riot.[see here]

Add to this breaching almost every condition of his parole.

The ACT Courts have seen it in their wisdom to release him on bail, again, with ‘strict’ conditions.

I remember previously Clea’s family having a monster dig at the Police and offering to rehabilitate the youth. There was an inquest into Police procedures requested by the family. All in all does anyone else think that maybe the kid is just a little skid mark on society?

A timely reminder to look both ways before crossing the streets.

I don’t believe in a system that ALLOWS a repeat offender to get off with just a slap on the wrist.

He is able to do his Yr 10 in remand. Hell, he’s even able to do his Yr 12. If he hasn’t, he has CHOSEN not too.

The key point here is OWNERSHIP. He has no ownership over his actions, or he wouldn’t be doing it over and over again.

As somebody who has worked as a prison guard, I can assure you that all the peds do all night is have sex with each other.

So much for rehabilitation etc…

Look, nobody is staying at my f-king place alright! I don’t know where this thing came from but I blame VY, I think.

When he gets out……of prison……where his actions have been praised by fellow prisoners……he will probably want to steal my car…..because there’s f-k all else to do………..because his prospects are basically dead…….because he hasn’t been rehabilitated………..because the system doesn’t work……..because idiots like you don’t believe in it, but judges do………because you’re an idiot…….idiot…..

Barbaric? Give me a break – having every bone in your body broken and your internal organs punctured from being hit by a car because of a little turd is barbaric.

He’s 17 and has REPEATEDLY stolen cars.

What’s he going to learn different in 1 years time that killing a person because of his stupid act already hasn’t?

When he gets out again, he can go stay at your place DMD. Then we’ll all smile when he steals your car and injures either himself, someone else or property.

Don’t break his legs – chain him to a treadmill attached to generator, to help ease global warming.

I said rehab in jail, one. Pedo’s are separated from the majority of prison population, so that is feasible.

Two, this particular offender is 17. He still has a lot of time to learn.

Three, your idea is barbaric and stupid. Why hasn’t that entered your thick head. It is still physical mutilation regardless of how painless the process is.

Four, if the horse is dead, why are you still screaming every time I flog it?

Five, teachers are the scum of the earth. Let’s sew up their mouths. But we’ll use anesthetic, so it’ll be okay 😉 😉 😉 😉

DMD, my job is of no consequence to you – as I have told you before, your piss-poor attempts to ‘goad’ me into retailiating over that don’t work.

First you spout “rehab, rehab, rehab”, then when the crime doesn’t suit your moral compass (i.e. paedophilia), you say “jail, jail, jail”.

You can’t have it both ways.

As for surgically breaking someone’s legs – you’re put to sleep, it’s done, you wake up with pain killers. Or we could just use a baseball bat…do you want to be our guinea pig as to which way is less painful?

Jokes aside, you’re argument is lost. You are flogging a dead horse (oops, I’d better not say much more because you’ll have a sook).

When the little turd gets back into a car and hoons off, just pray it isn’t someone you know or love that is his next victim.

Remember, though, he will be released and when he does, he will have nothing but his criminal reputation and his knowledge of stealing cars (and other, more violent skills he’ll learn in prison).

That’s a moot point as I am sure he ‘learnt’ a few things in remand.

The point is, HE TOOK A LIFE.

No one has the right to take another person’s life away. Remember that when you’re crossing the street and an idiot hoons through the pedestrian crossing.

“DMD, women are mutilated all the time (and I mean MUTILATED) even here in Australia.

Surgically breaking someone’s legs is a more soft approach than using other means. “

Wtf was that, then, Nyssa? Infantile, testosterone-pumped, behind-the-computer rambo-talk, that’s what it was. You evidently have very little idea about how young men think and about the self-destructive patterns they can fall into. You in the private school system?

WMD. Funny. Maelinar, I’m sure they are, idiot. I meant it in the context of using it as a moral justification to mutilate children. For pete’s sake!

Special G, I answered your question in the other section.

To the rest of you (who aren’t wishing we had an Indonesian legal system) – fine, lock him up. Give him few years in the adult system. Remember, though, he will be released and when he does, he will have nothing but his criminal reputation and his knowledge of stealing cars (and other, more violent skills he’ll learn in prison).

Think about it when you’re flying down Lanyon Drive at 120 k’s an hour complaining about speed cameras.

Mælinar Mælinar 8:32 pm 18 Nov 07

WMD doesn’t that mean we should be taking steps to stamp that out? – they are idiot.

They may not be taking WMD approved steps, but they are taking steps.

“Shoot the prick” is cheaper

VYBerlinaV8 VYBerlinaV8 2:27 pm 18 Nov 07

I think that the fact that we all feel so bad for this this ‘poor misguided kid’ is the reason he keeps getting away with this crap. There comes a time when gaols are not about punishment, but about placing a barrier between those who live within society’s rules, and those who don’t.

Ingeegoodbee Ingeegoodbee 11:49 am 18 Nov 07

This chap has had his chance and proved that he dosn’t want to learn his (damn easy) lesson. I hope that the courts go to town on him this time and give him two koala stamps and a send him to bed without pudding.

Shoot the prick.

Special G Special G 7:34 pm 17 Nov 07

I will make the same comment on two different threads to make my point.

DMD – In relation to pedophiles you are saying they cannot be rehabilitated and they need to be locked up for the good of society, yet car thieves who kill people are well worth the rehabilitation effort. Which way do you want to play the rehab game?

nyssa76 nyssa76 7:25 pm 17 Nov 07

Give up DMD, you can’t win.

Your ridiculous mantra of rehab is bogus in this case.

Actually, my thoughts are this: if you kill someone by your stupidity, and REPEAT the act again, you deserve EVERYTHING that you get and some.

He hasn’t learnt, so why don’t you pay attention and grow up? Or are you lost without the Student Union?

Deadmandrinking Deadmandrinking 6:19 pm 17 Nov 07

Nyssa, you’re a teacher so you smell. Schools smell too. Like poo. Or maybe that’s just your comments.

So…if women are mutilated all the time…doesn’t that mean we should be taking steps to stamp that out?

Honestly, you can’t do bad shit to people on the sole basis that bad shit happens to other people. Following your train of logic, that gives people the right to kill people. They don’t have that right, in case you’ve forgotten.

Pretty infantile thinking, there, Ms. Maybe you’re on the wrong side of the river?

Pandy Pandy 11:09 pm 16 Nov 07

A fox knows its own smell DMD

nyssa76 nyssa76 10:15 pm 16 Nov 07

Now now Mael, be careful or DMD might call you sick or cruel….

Mælinar Mælinar 9:41 pm 16 Nov 07

There’s an old saying: fool me once, wear it on the chin. Fool me twice, more fool me.

The ACT legal system should take this particular saying in mind when administering the labotomy. The fact that this person has slipped through the cracks is the fault of the legal system – there’s more than enough rock spiders out there to test the cracks.

nyssa76 nyssa76 7:45 pm 16 Nov 07

tap, when you take a life by being an idiot and then continue to do the same act which took a life, you deserve to be kicked up the arse with pointy steel caps.

This kid HASN’T learnt his lesson. It’s obvious that with time, and *cough* maturity, one would think that he would have learnt.

DMD, women are mutilated all the time (and I mean MUTILATED) even here in Australia.

Surgically breaking someone’s legs is a more soft approach than using other means.

This idiot has taken a life and continues to be a dickhead. He has lost the right to be a part of society.

Oh and please don’t attack my profession or my workplace again. It’s a pathetic infantile attempt to piss me off when all it does is make me wonder if you can put a sentence together given the immature intellect you have to offer.

Deadmandrinking Deadmandrinking 6:50 pm 16 Nov 07

Why did I suspect penis’, or lack thereof, were involved in this, Pandy?

Death is not better – and even in the states, they don’t execute people for manslaughter. Douchebag.
