The ABC is reporting that a 26-year-old man has been sentenced to two years’ jail for stabbing a teenager in a road rage incident last year.
The magistrate’s court heard that the incident happened after the man, Matthew John Davis, merged in front of another car, driven by an unnamed 18-year-old. The younger driver started to pursue Davis’s car and both cars eventually pulled over.
The court heard that Davis and another passenger assaulted the teenager, managing to stab him twice in the arm in the process.
Davis apparently has a violent criminal history, and has been given chances to rehabilitate but Magistrate Beth Campbell basically said enough is enough and gave him a jail sentence.
