Ian Bushnell 20 April 2018

A 25-year-old man of no fixed address will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Friday, 20 April 2018) over an aggravated robbery in Manuka late last year.

Police said that about 11:45 am on Friday, 1 December 2017, a man entered the Subway restaurant in Manuka armed with a knife, threatened staff with the knife and made demands for cash.

Staff complied and the male fled on foot in the direction of Red Hill.

The arrest comes after an investigation by ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations.

The man will face one charge of aggravated robbery with an offensive weapon.

Police will oppose bail.
