Manuka a little piece of Melbourne? Starbucks not quite gone after all

By johnboy - 31 July 2008 12

Over on the Starbucks closure story OzChick of the eagle eyes has pointed out that Manuka is not listed in the detailed store closures list.

So Manuka is considered to be part of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane?

UPDATED: Whoops, word comes that it closed a while ago. There I was fooled by local news types doing pieces to camera in front of it this week.

What’s Your opinion?

Manuka closed years ago.

Well, 5 months anyway. Unprofitable and plaza management wanted them to renovate to fit in more with the new architecture.

Back in 2001 when I was in Year 12 at Eddies, we’d often go to Starbucks in Manuka on the days when we had first period off.

…I never really understood the appeal myself but it was warm and my mates seemed to like it.

The Manuka store closed a while ago in completely unrelated circumstances.
