Medieval Illuminated Manuscripts, Their Makers and Readers at the National Library

For those who like their culture historical, their history cultural, or just really dig knights and stuff like that, the NLA are holding a lecture on Medieval manuscripts:

Join Michelle Brown, Professor Emerita at the School of Advanced Study, University of London, and Visiting Professor at University College London and Baylor University (Texas), as she reveals the mysteries and splendour of the Middle Ages.

Formerly the Curator of Illuminated Manuscripts at the British Library and a Lay Canon of St Paul’s Cathedral, London, Michelle has lectured, published and broadcast widely on medieval culture. Her publications include The Lindisfarne Gospels and the Early Medieval World, A Guide to Western Historical Scripts from Antiquity to 1600 and The Book and the Transformation of Britain c. 550–1050.
