A small band of bushwalkers/snow-shoers from Canberra planted two mini-fields of women in Kosciuszko National Park to raise awareness of breast cancer yesterday. One mini field was planted near the Lookout above Thredbo and was attended by 11 people. The other planted at the top of Mt K. itself. There was lots of snow and the views were tremendous.

I hate to be a killjoy, but I do want to ask whether they carted the things away again after the photo op. Somehow, the thought of hot pink things left littering the landscape in a wild place wouldn’t be pleasing!
