Police believe there will be more victims of a 52-year-old Weetangera man who will face court after allegedly filming intimate images of a woman in a bedroom without her consent.

ACT Policing will allege the man used a hidden camera over the course of several months to capture images of the woman. They say there are hundreds of other recordings on his computer.

The charges come after ACT Policing members executed a warrant at a Belconnen residence yesterday (1 September).

During the search, officers allegedly located a hidden camera in the bedroom and a laptop computer. The computer allegedly contained intimate images and video recordings captured by the hidden camera.

The man has been charged with intimate observations capturing visual data of another person. He will appear before the ACT Magistrates Court today.

Police say they are investigating hundreds of other recordings found on the computer, and they expect to identify other victims.

It’s anticipated the man will face more charges before his matters are dealt with by the court.
