ACT Fire & Rescue are currently on scene at the Evolve Apartments, New South Wales Crescent, Forrest, following a motorcycle on fire in the basement of the building.
Fire has been extinguished and contained to the motorcycle.
A small amount of people have been evacuated from the basement area whilst crews clear the smoke from the area.

The sprinkler system in the basement of the building was activated following the fire. Fire & Rescue crews arrived to extinguish the fire.
Two fire pumpers on scene, the Breathing Apparatus Van, the Hazardous Materials Unit and a Command Officer.
Crews were alerted following an Automatic Fire Alarm at 3.55pm following by Emergency Triple Zero (000) calls.
Fire & Rescue crews applied first aid to a male patient, the owner of the bike, with ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics also called to the scene. The patient was treated for minor smoke inhalation and will not require hospitalisation.
Cause of fire determined to be petrol leaking onto the hot engine component.
Crews are continuing to ventilate the basement of the building.
