In a new series each week I will profile some of the bigger moves and appointments taking place around Canberra. Utilising tips and LinkedIn, I will also profile a new business that opened its doors.

This weeks noted moves:

Former CEO of Prime Tv and well networked Doug Edwards has been officially named the new CEO of the ACT Brumbies and signed for a 2 year deal.

Kate Van Haalen formerly of Snowy Hydo south Care has taken on a new challenge as Deloitte’s new Marketing Manager

Damon Smith was named General Manager of the construction arm of Geocons, after 2 years as operations manager.

Claudia Kirk has left Artis group and taken up up an Account Director role at Fujitsu Australia Limited.

Benjamin Collett left Brindabella Hills winery top take up the role of food and beverage manager for the Rydges Hotel Group Canberra.

Former managing director of ACTEW/AGL Mark Sullivan has recently taken on the Chairman position for the University of Canberra Union board which oversees the massive expansion into the Canberra Capitals and other sports.

Opening doors to a new venture is well known former recruitment account manager Tania Milovanovic who kicked off her new personal training business New 2 You PT. Their motto says it all ‘Bringing you a safe, innovative, and effective way to train’.
