New show at Regatta Point

When we were all much younger Regatta Point was the first place to take visitors to Canberra, as the sound and light show did an excellent job of explaining the history of the City. In recent years the NCA have converted it into a half-arsed convention venue with a stupefyingly self-serving gush, of no interest to anyone, where the history of Canberra used to be.

Minister Lloyd has now put out a media release which, if you can push past the too cute by half structure, seems to be saying they’ve worked over the sound and light show again in the hope of promoting Canberra to people who are, ahem, already here.

There is also talk of taking the show to the road so I hope it’s now more than an excercise of auto-eroticism by the National Capital Authority.
