A new rego.act website has been launched to make it easier for users to access important information.
Attorney-General, Simon Corbell, said the new website would provide a more efficient service for the ACT community.
“New features include a search function, user-friendly menus, regularly updated news items, video capability and improved usability for smart phones and tablets,” Mr Corbell said.
“Enabling users to view the website more easily on devices such as smart phones and tablets is particularly important. As technology improves, the way people access information is changing, and it is important for us to be responsive to this.
“There is an entirely new look and feel to the website, with a slideshow feature on the home page to cycle through the information most important to the community.
“Users of the website will be able to find the information they require at the click of a button with updates being administered regularly.”
The website has a format consistent with other ACT Government websites. This consistency makes the websites more intuitive for users, as they become familiar with the location of different types of information.
“The Road Transport Authority is working towards further improvement to the rego.act website following implementation of this new format, with many more ideas in the pipeline to allow users to find information quickly and conveniently,” Mr Corbell said.
