To any NewsRadio listeners out there, the station has moved frequencies to 103.9FM. They have also installed a new transmitter in Tuggeranong so people down south can hear the station on 99.9FM (I understand you couldn’t get the AM version of the station there before).

The old AM frequency will only be used until next Tuesday so there’s not much time to readjust your lives to this monumental change.

Okay — thanks for clarifying that for us, Kerces. 🙂

maybe, but quite possibly my grades won’t (this one possibly makes up more than half the course’s assessment — the joys of apparenlty unplanned courses)

Ah, that blah. No worries 🙂

Submit your french essay in it’s unfinished form. It’s more poetic that way, I’m sure the teacher will agree.

I didn’t mean to say the change was blah, I’m sure it’s a very worthy thing. I mean that my day was blah, having involved noisy young cousins, too-early work with not enough to do, excessive parking fees cos I ate lunch and an unfinished french essay due tomorrow.

Yes, here’s another person who does appreciate the change. We don’t all live within transmission line-of-sight of emitters in Gungahlin or on Black Mountain. I couldn’t pick up the AM broadcast on either domestic radio in my Lanyon Valley home (although I could pick it up fine in my car). Now I can pick up NewsRadio loud and clear on either FM frequency on either of my domestic radios. Thank you, ABC — now we down here too can have something that others have probably taken for granted. I can pass on the Parliamentary broadcasts, but NewsRadio often carries interesting reporting when the other ABC AM stations are broadcasting either “highbrow” or “soft” stuff.

Blah or not, I appreciate the change. I like to be able to listen to the radio on my mobile phone, but it only receives the FM band. So with this change I can now channel surf over a slightly wider spectrum of stations to find something worth listening to.

And this story has been the high point of my morning. Blah day to match the blah weather.
