Number plate taglines for Canberra?

ACT - not as bad as you think

The_Bulldog has sent in this pic with the following note:

Hi team – found this when out and about at the weekend. Don’t seem to recall this being an option last time I rego’d a car, but thought it might create some interesting debate over alternative plate phrases.

My thoughts thus far “ACT – Don’t blame us – you voted for them!”

Any others you’d like to suggest?

What’s Your opinion?

How about………………………………………………… ‘ACT-You’ll get away with Murder’

Unless you get caught covered in blood in your car and admit to a killing two people.

I think Catch-22 logic would come into play there.

If one admits to killing, then they must be mad- too mad to be a murderer.

I can see some real good ideas coming from this thread:

‘ACT – Another Country Town’
‘ACT – A Coroners Tribute’
‘ACT – Act Accordingly’
‘ACT – Assume Courts are Troubled’
‘ACT – ACT Riot’

Just couldn’t help myself!

But even then it could be a stretch to get charged. Your name is Massey and you are high as a kite with a shotgun and with dead folk in the boot of the car, do you get charged? You still have to go before Justice Higgins and he does not believe in murder.

I would have gone with: ACT – Bigger than a breadbox

It is an option on personalised plates, but I think it does cost more. If I remember correctly, those purple police cars with the personalised numberplates have a slogan that says something along the lines of “Making Canberra safer” (I can’t remember exactly what it says).

Nononononono!!!

A slogan like that’s likely to attract people, and we’ve got more than enough of those already.

I prefer “Feel the Power of Canberra” – it must still be keeping people away in their millions. (Not that I’d have one – I don’t want people throwing rocks at my car).
