You think THIS is weird – our area at work has acquired a mascot – a stuffed flamingo wearing sunglasses and a purple feather boa, named ‘Orlando’. Why? No idea. People are pressured to take it with them (and take photos of it) when they travel. ‘It’ even wrote an article in the Division newsletter. Scary.

Maybe someone needs to rearrange the dolls into inappropriate sexual poses, and put pictures on the Internet.

They’re just copying another artist who has done much more interesting things with his masking tape kids – biters..

If I’d known this stunt was for such a lame cause, I would have stolen the clothes of the dummies for my own kid.

Have some fun people!
I like it.

They should be charged for littering, vandalism and causing a public nuisance.

the website is actually informative… the mission of the mag, the nature of it and the details of the launch (tomorrow night at 8pm at impressions on paper gallery, mort st braddon) are all to be found. what, you want it in your face? mebbe that’s not what this will do…

orphans are often hidden – they look just like us.

i like it already

Its a design magazine…

There will be the launch party launch party, then magazine launch party, the website going live party, and then…

“Well gee, that website is f*ing informative….” Haha, I thought the same thing when I found the site.
Just thought I would post the link anyway, I’m guessing the site will probably change after tomorrows launch.

Great idea. Made me interested. Though most people in this shit hole (the riotact, not Canberra) will no doubt knock anything that they are unsure of.

Interesting…One is missing a head near the merry go round. Orphan – please sir, can we have some more (with heads intact)? Those outfits are sure to inspire the smacky’s in the city… if the magazine hasn’t launched, surely that means the website hasn’t launched either?

As “deb haining” said – Orphan magazine is having its launch tomorrow. Orphan is a free street magazine showcasing local talent.
Their website is http://www.orphanmagazine.com.au

LOL, I think I saw you photographing them today. I couldn’t only see the back and I thought you were taking a photo of a toddler untill I realised the toddler was strangely limp.

God knows what it is, though. Art? (whatever that is these days)

Classy…

AussieGal83 AussieGal83 3:35 pm 13 Mar 08

I took a closer look, I think they are made out of masking tape.

I saw it. Didn’t have time to give it creedence. I did however, notice a smacky having a good lie down on the pavement in the sun, next to the ‘Merry go Round’. Wow. Such tales…
