P-plater charged with culpable driving following fatal collision

A 19-year-old provisional driver will face the ACT Magistrates Court on serious driving offences following a fatal collision in October 2020.

A 16-year-old girl died after the single-vehicle collision on Longmore Crescent in Wanniassa at about 1:50 am on 31 October 2020.

The driver, a P-plater, and two passengers were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the crash.

The girl was transferred to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died on 3 November 2020.

The 19-year-old man has been summonsed to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on 14 April 2021 for the offence of culpable driving causing death.
