ACT Policing is continuing its investigation into the death of 48-year-old Glenn Walewicz, who was shot on the doorstep of his Phillip townhouse last month.

Homicide detectives wish to speak to members of the public who may have seen a small group of people behaving suspiciously in the greenbelt area adjacent to Athllon Drive, Phillip, between 10:30 pm and midnight on 11 June 2021.

These people may have been associated with a light coloured four-door sedan parked on the Mawson side of Athllon Drive between Hindmarsh Drive and the Mawson shops.

Investigators believe this group may have information relevant to the investigation and are urging them to come forward to share what they may have seen or heard that night.

Police said Mr Walewicz died from a single gunshot wound shortly after one or more people knocked on the door of his home at the end of a cul-de-sac in Mansfield Place.

Detective Inspector Marcus Boorman said a woman inside the home at the time of the shooting called the ACT Ambulance Service. Ambulance officers treated the man at the scene before taking him to hospital where he died a short time later.
