Police find hydroponic cannabis in Charnwood residence

Police have seized hydroponically grown cannabis worth more than $130,000 after searching a residence in Charnwood yesterday (1 June).

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations were granted warrants to search the residence and a vehicle after questioning a man already in custody.

Police found six mature cannabis plants and two large bags of green matter suspected of being cultivated cannabis concealed in a locked bedroom, in addition to further evidence relating to the other matters under investigation.

The man is expected to face additional charges arising from the cannabis cultivation at his next court appearance.
