Police hope face-fit images will help identify alleged Bonner shooter

An artist has constructed face-fit images ACT Policing hopes will help identify two men believed to be involved in the aggravated burglary and shooting of a man in Bonner two months ago.

The shooting happened at a home in Roy Marika Street on Sunday, 27 June.

Police believe the incident began with at least two offenders attempting to enter the residence at about 5:45 pm.

After a short struggle, one of the offenders fired a single shot, which struck the occupant in the leg. The offenders then fled the location.

Investigations have been ongoing, and ACT Policing Criminal Investigations detectives say they greatly appreciate the assistance and information received from the public to date.

Now they are calling for witnesses who may be able to identify either of two men, whom police believe were involved in the incident.

Detectives would also like to speak with anyone who saw a white hatch-back in the area of Bonner between 5:30 pm and 6:20 pm on Sunday, 27 June.

Anyone who can identify either of the men, saw the white hatch-back, or has any information that could assist police, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Quote reference 6834618. Information can be provided anonymously.

So they’re from Young?

Should be pretty easy to solve – the crooks these days are the ones not wearing masks, so it will be two of those.

Those photo fit images look like every second Young bloke I see on my daily walk.
