Police seek witnesses to assault in Gungahlin Marketplace carpark

A woman was assaulted by a female attacker at 5pm on December 30 in the Big W underground carpark at the Gungahlin Marketplace, according to ACT Policing, which is seeking witnesses to the incident.

The woman was standing at the parking ticket machine near the bottom of the escalators when she was approached by the other female.

The two had a short conversation before the woman assaulted the victim, inflicting minor facial injuries. The victim fell to the ground and her glasses were knocked from her face before she got up and fled the area towards the car wash.

Investigations are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the assault, or has any information that could assist police, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via https://act.crimestoppers.com.au and quote reference number 6052958.
