A road rage incident in West Belconnen allegedly escalated into a physical assault, and police are on the hunt for witnesses.

An ACT Policing spokesperson said they were also seeking dash-cam footage of the attack that occurred earlier this month.

The spokespersons said about 7:50 pm on Friday, 12 April 2024, a red sports car – either a Toyota 86 or Subaru BRZ – was seen driving dangerously and erratically westbound on Ginninderra Drive, Charnwood.

“A short time later, this vehicle followed another vehicle along Lance Hill Avenue and into Santry Place, Dunlop,” the spokesperson said.

“It is believed the vehicles interacted prior to turning off Ginninderra Drive.

“The vehicles have subsequently come to a stop on Santry Place, where the driver of the red sports car exited the vehicle, approached the other vehicle and allegedly assaulted the driver.”
