1. House-breaking Narrabundah Rapist?
- ACT Policing is investigating a sexual assault that occurred in Narrabundah yesterday morning (April 30).
Police attended a residence in the suburb shortly before noon after a woman was sexually assaulted in her Bungonia Street home by a male unknown to her. The woman had returned to her home about 10.30am to find the man inside.
The offender is described as being of stocky build with dark skin, and wearing a light-coloured top with dark horizontal stripes, three-quarter length denim pants and white shoes.
The man left the premises about 11.25am carrying a large, light coloured bag similar to a garbage bag. The bag is thought to have contained an amount of stolen property, including a laptop computer.
Members of the Territory Investigations Group Sexual Assault Team are investigating the incident.
Anyone who may have observed a man matching this description or carrying a large bag in the vicinity of Bungonia Street, the Narrabundah shops or the public walkways between Canberra Avenue and Kootara Crescent yesterday morning is urged to contact [police].
