Pre-Commitment Gambling Reform as FOI’d out of the ACT Government

By johnboy - 22 May 2012 6

Hmm, what a coincidence.

The ACT Government has belched out its Pre-Commitment Gambling Reform documentation.

I’m taking a look but feel free to post your highlights.

What’s Your opinion?

The reason the ACT was selected was that it does not have an interlinked system like all other States, meaning that the set up costs are the highest and the trial will look shakey. Also, all that Commonwealth cash that gets funneled into Canberra Labor Clubs only to be spat out again at election time.

I always wonder about FOI releases with large swathes of text cut out… If you are morally sound and carrying your activity in an upstanding manner, why would you ever need to censor your work? (Unless of course there is a legitimate threat to other people’s wellbeing or their livelihoods)
