On the way to the snow on Saturday I noticed this public artwork by the side of the road between Williamsdale and Michelago. Unlike our own artworks in Canberra this particular installation over the border appears to be privately funded:

Grey is the new blue.

@thumper

originally, I believe it used to be a bright blue and stood out significantly in the 70s

I hate to burst your bubble guys, but those are the earings that Margaret Pomeranz lost on her way to the snow earlier in the season. Call them in and I’m sure she’ll give you a reward.

It’s very fortunate that they make them in such a range of fashion colours.

They’re pump head units. Anyone not on town water has lots of these. I’ve got three.

Hmmm I got back from a fish at Eucumbene today, and never noticed it!

Looks like old BBQ gas bottle cylinders???

Perhaps Old MacDonald has missed his true calling.

: )

There is also a big metal robot a big closer in to Canberra on the other side of the road.

That’s a good thing, lots of old pump head-units stuck together. quite clever! And very rural.

there’s another art work on the way to the snow, been there for decades. That funny-looking blue girder thing up on a hill, this side of Cooma.

I do like a nice piece of found object sculpture. Interesting use of colour, although the height of the columns could do with some variation.
