Puta Madre Brothers at Tranist Bar – TONIGHT

Voss 20 January 2011

Fresh from explosive shows at Meredith and Falls Festival and a national tour with Those Darlins (USA) and Jeff The Brotherhood (USA), the world’s only surviving triple one-man-band band take to the road to teach the people of new south wales some Spanish expletives and make them s*** their pants.

An overfilled taco of irresistible mariachi, rock en roll and Detroit soul music played with three drumsets and three guitars by three Mexicano-wanna-be’s, Puta Madre Brothers are an experience like no other and have been described as “phenomenal”, “intense” and “half traditional mariachi band, half laughing lunatics.”

Like nothing you have ever seen before, singing in their home-made Spanish vernacular, dressed in military garb with hair-dos as sharp as razor blades, raising the ghosts of Ritchie Valens and Pedro Vargas, Puta Madre Brothers will set your ass on fire if not their own.

Tonight (20/01/2011) at TRANSIT BAR, Doors at approx 8:30, with support from miserable brute-locals (Triple J unearthed winners) Voss, plus another mystery act…
