ABC Grandstand reports on the results of the Canberra Raiders’ final home game of the season, a fine 30-14 win against the Newcastle Knights.
The Raiders scored their opening try in only the second set of the game, with Daniel Vidot touching down in the corner despite the attention of three Newcastle defenders. Phil Graham scored a double in probably his final game for the Green Machine, with Bronson Harrison and Alan Tongue also bagging four-pointers.
The Raiders travel to Brisbane next weekend for their final game of the season, against the Broncos, and while a repeat of their 56-0 shellacking of the Broncos earlier in the season probably isn’t in the offing, it would be great if they could wrap the season up with a win.
