Raiders to keep Carney

By Mess 25 May 2007 0

The Raiders website reports that the Raiders are not going to sack wayward player Todd Carney.

“The Canberra Raiders have announced that Todd Carney will remain suspended indefinitely but will still remain with the club, following a board meeting at Raiders HQ today.”

Instead Carney is to be put through a rehabilitation program. No word has been released on when he will return to the playing field, although this author thinks that if the Raiders make the 8, Carney will be back in the side.

Its good to see that the Raiders are going to help a young player they have brought through the ranks, rather than pawn him and his problems off on another club.
