After a couple of false starts, a true Canberra institution, Transit Bar, is ready to make its long-awaited return. There’s plenty coming up at the underground venue at Bailey’s Corner (143 London Cct), including their Live At Transit series, which stars ARCHIE, Sophie Edwards and Muesli this week. Mobius, a weekly experimental hip-hop and progressive soul jam, is also kicking there this Friday.

It’s set to be a busy weekend over at The Street Theatre with Naarm/Melbourne pianist Nat Bartsch staging two performances of her Lullabies suite, one specifically tailored for babies and parents. You can catch legendary Australian jazz trio The Necks in concert there on Sunday.

The hidden gem of National Circuit, the Wesley Music Centre, is stirring back to life this week. Their weekly Wednesday Lunchtime Concerts are a true delight and well worth the time to pop in on your lunch break.
