As mentioned in this story The Riotact descended upon Adventure Paintball in the Tuggeranong Pines for a day of fun, flag grabs and fluoro vests.

My day started at 8:30am at -4 degrees but I wasn’t going to miss an opportunity to paint Johnboy up and down the field, I arrived at the field just prior to 9:30am rubbing my hands and licking my lips waiting for my prey to arrive.

Johnboy and the crew arrived a short time later, and it seemed I would be doing the community a service as Johnboy stepped out of the car in hot pants, I’m sure he will say they were shorts but believe me they were hot pants, with his pasty white legs on show i could barely control my enthusiasm to get the game on.

This is where my plans go awry.

Due to a twist of fate not only did I find myself on Johnboy’s team but we were also out numbered, I put the horrendous vision of his legs out of my mind, accepted that my plans for revenge would have to wait another day and prepared to get stuck in on behalf of our team of under dogs.

Several games played in the morning and we proved the old saying true “it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog” and fight we did, it wasn’t pretty but it was effective. With pin point accuracy coming from Che guarding our back, John Sweet legs Boy charging down the flank and myself with the grace likened to “a hippo on ice” charging down the middle not only winning some games in the morning but I would dare say the majority.

With our half day break upon us, we took the opportunity to recruit some fresh players that had arrived, have a drink, a smoke, then back into it for the second half of the war.

With some experience under our belts from the morning, the second half was more challenging. With no games being one sided, the evil empire under the direction of General Kerces was able to even up the results from the morning.

Then we faced our final task, to set aside our differences, and join forces against a common foe, another group was playing at Adventure Paintball and it was time to show them how this game is played.

With our combined forces we were out numbered against the new Axis of Evil, but that did not stop us from tearing them to shreds, even though Che’s Commandos and Kerces Evil Empire had been fighting each other all day we moved like a team with days of experience behind them. the final fight was short and brutal with myself managing to wrap all the way around the Axis of Evil’s home bunker with gun pointed in their faces ask the immortal words “Are you Dead?”

With the sweet taste of victory, I had forget about my revenge against Johnboy this is something I greatly regret.

Lining up for out final game the standard shoot each other until you are out of paint, Johnboy joined me behind my barricade, there was a nod and the unspoken agreement between us was set, that was until I was five metres away from the traitorous dog, with an evil glint in his eye and a maniacal laughter he let fly with a volley from his gun, I went down in a hail of paint and tears crying “Johnboy why have you forsaken me”.

I would like to thank Johnboy, Che, the riotact Team, Kieran, Aaron, Pinkie and all they guys a AP for such a fantastic day, watch this space for pics

Glad everyone had a good day. Now that everyone is warmed up, don’t forget the 5 man tournament on 9 Jul. We will also be commencing $10 Sundays in August. Thats $10 to come and play all day I will even throw in pizzas for groups of 10 or more!

A brilliant day. There is never a funnier thing to see was the monkey dancing in the trees through my sights as I unloaded a full hopper at him.

Ah those crazy younin’s thinking that they would obliterate the fogey’s. Good to see that being older, wizer and meaner (especially well warmed up) can still win the day.

aha, Blamemoneky. those shots were me!!! as were the ones on JB’s noggin. I may not have shot much but they were all pretty accurate.

Hmm Blamemonkey sounds like an L33t athlete 😛

Is this the same place that got a write up in the Chronicle (South side) as the “eyesore of the week”? Somone alwasys ready to apoil the fun eh?

Sounds like it was a real ball.

thanks for the write up BM, a good day was had by all I feel

I have managed to find 9 so far, with three on my left shoulder, three on my right thigh, one on my wrist and two in my back (who put those there??)

It was was a very fun day however I am disappointed about my lack of bruises to show off.

I gave you a decent head-start dude.

Anyway, big thanks to the Adventure Paintball people who made us at home at their wonderful site.

Bang for buck it’s the best paintball in the region and I’m not just saying that because of the free beer we got for running their ad.

Having been tempered by bitter conflict against each other all day long it was particularly pleasing to turn our hard won skills jointly against the younger, fitter, and more numerous opposing team…

and making them cry with our old-age, cynicism, and superior unit cohesion.

The bruising on my head is starting to go down now…

Sounds like you all had a fabulous time. Can’t wait for the pics! Way to go General Kerces, and thanks BM for a great review.
