As part of the Hibberson Street shared zone project, Gungahlin Place will be closed overnight on Sunday (26 August) for asphalting and road resurfacing works, and Hibberson Street will be transformed into a one-way shared zone with reduced speed limits and safer pedestrian crossings.
The roadworks will be carried out at the intersection of Hibberson Street and Gungahlin Place for 12 hours starting at 7 pm on Sunday (26 August), with closures to be put in place on Gungahlin Place.
Work will be carried out in two stages, with only one direction from Efkarpidis Street to Ernest Cavanagh Street to be closed at a time.
Drivers are asked to be mindful of the changed traffic arrangements and adhere to the work zone speed limits with only minor delays to be expected.
Bus services are expected to run as normal.
The ACT Government apologises for the inconvenience and thanks everyone for their patience whilst this important work takes place.
