Dogs of the Week: Oreo
Sweet, handsome Oreo is a big, lovable boof-head. He might take a minute to warm to you, but once he has, he’s going to be your best little buddy forever.
Oreo comes from a good owner who clearly cared for him but circumstances arose and now Oreo is here. He’s used to people and, once bonded, will chase that ball and even take you on for some tug-of-war.
Our handsome boy is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who comes with all the typical traits; it’s like having a little immature human by your side. He’ll make you laugh with his playful antics and steal your heart when you least expect it.
Come and visit sweet Oreo; we love him, but he’ll be so much happier at your place than at ours.

Bird of the Week: Jade
We often have an array of amazing birds available for adoption, it’s not just cats and dogs at our shelter.
Jade, the Indian Ringneck here, is so sweet and obviously has lived with caring people before. While some new arrivals are uncomfortable and cautious, approaching Jade’s cage meant nothing to her; she was interested and wanted to be where people were from the outset.
In her short time here, she’s gradually learned to trust strangers. She’ll now come out and sit on your shoulder and even seek scratches and kisses, especially if there’s a tasty almond or a grape up for grabs.
Her perfect new owner would ideally be experienced with similar-sized birds and own a large indoor cage. Come and visit Jade – she’d love to see you.
