Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Tank the German Shepherd and Button the Lion (kidding, he’s just a cat) are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Dog of the Week: Tank

Well, just look at this handsome boy! This is Tank. He’s just turned four, and his smile can light up your backyard better than 600 drones ever could.

He’s lived on the land and is a super-intelligent dog who has been cared for and trained. His current repertoire of tricks includes sit, drop, shake, leave it, back up and more.

He’s strong and very large, and while he’s a clever boy, Tank doesn’t have experience in town life. Walking on a lead is new to him, so he’ll need some training there. His coat needs attention, too. You don’t get to look as handsome as he does without a good brush every once in a while.

If you’re a physically active dog lover, you’re right for Tank. He would make the perfect companion on your daily walks or weekend outings.

Drop by the shelter and visit this beautiful boy today.

Cat of the Week: Button

Meet Button, a friendly young cat who came into the shelter off the streets. He has flourished since his arrival in care and has spent most of his time being fostered.

Button is a shy boy who loves to relax, making him the perfect partner to unwind with after a long day. He is almost three years old and ready to settle in as the beloved family cat of his new forever home.

He is looking for a warm, loving home, ideally with other furry family members, as he has adored his time in foster care in a multi-pet household.

His ideal home would be somewhere quiet where he can feel safe and comfortable, as shy Button can easily get frightened by the big, boisterous world around him. Once settled nicely into his new home, Button would love and adore his new family for every second of his nine lives. Come down to the RSPCA ACT Shelter and meet him today!

Paw note: Last week’s pets of the week, Illidan and Yoda, are both still available for adoption at the RSPCA ACT Shelter.

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
