Bosco is a curious dog, but never says no to pats!

Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

This week, say hello to playful Molly and curious Bosco who need to find the perfect match.

Dog of the Week – Bosco

Clever Bosco is the kind of dog that will become your best mate. He is charming and lovable and is well known for squirming his way onto your lap, nudging his head against your hand until he gets pats and attention. Bosco is a very handsome dog, polite, but also young and can be excitable. He is playful and loves to go out of the Shelter for his daily walks with our volunteers.

The kennels staff have spent plenty of time with Bosco teaching him tricks like sit and shake. Bosco is eager to learn, loves treats and will benefit from a family that can help continue his training. On sunny days you’ll often find Bosco pulling a ‘Snoopy’ and laying on top of his kennel while he spends time napping in the warmth.

Bosco can be selective with his canine companions, so an only dog home would give him the best opportunity to create a bond with you for life.

We recommend Bosco for a family with children 12 years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.

Cat of the Week – Molly

This adorable cat is Molly, a recent stray that is looking to find a fur-ever family. Molly is sweet, affectionate and loves to spend time with people. After spending some time with Molly, we’ve decided that she is looking for a home environment that isn’t too busy or loud so that she can grow to feel safe and secure.

We’ve discovered that Molly isn’t too fond of the company of other animals, so she’ll need a home where she can be the only pet. Molly could live with older, mature children, as long as they are kind, gentle, and respectful of her space when she needs it.

Molly needs a family that can be committed to keeping her indoors for the majority of the day, to ensure that she is safe from cars, dogs, and other unfriendly felines. Access to an enclosed outdoor area would suit Molly greatly. However, with some patience and time, she could live an indoor only life.
