Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Lola, Miffy and Thumper are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Dog of the Week: Lola

Well, this is a bit sad. Not only did Lola the Boxer X appear in this article a few months ago looking to be loved … she also appeared in March of this year. It’s well past her time to get adopted.

She’s just over two years old and absolutely loves playing and she loves her people. She may look a little shy when you see her in a kennel, but let’s walk for a moment in Lola’s paws: after spending this long at a shelter, you’d probably look the same.

When you decide you want to adopt a dog, we will require you to meet them in one of our yards, and this is where Lola truly shines. She loves life and just a few minutes with her, perhaps throwing a toy for her to fetch, you’ll see this is a dog that deserves love and a home. She’s a joyous, excitable and playful dog.

Is it time for your family to add a canine addition? Make it Lola. She will love you for it. She’s now received a good nine months of attention, socialisation and love from our staff and volunteers. It’s time now for her to truly love her life … at your place.

Rabbits of the Week: Miffy and Thumper

Well, who doesn’t love a couple of fluffy little bunnies sprucing up your home? These two are bonded, they rely on each other, and they need one more thing to help them: your affection.

They’ve been cared for in their previous life and enjoyed some good indoor and outdoor living. They are even used to living with a young child, although they prefer peace and quiet (but who doesn’t, right?)

If you have a large indoor enclosure (or an outdoor hutch that has good protection from the sun and rain), these rabbits will make a sensational addition to your home. They like people and you’ll be patting and scratching them in no time.

Come and visit the dynamic duo of Miffy and Thumper. We think you’ll love them.

labrador

How is he still not adopted? This Labrador Retriever is as loveable as you’d imagine.

Pawnote: thanks to another cat lover, our featured pet from last week, Reece, has a new home. Alas, Tommy, the lab/retriever, is still here, hoping.

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
