Seven Brumbies home games and road trip to Sydney in 2010!

The Brumbies have announced their draw for next season:

1. Friday, 12 February – Western Force v CA Brumbies at Members Equity Stadium, Perth
2. Saturday, 20 February – Bulls v CA Brumbies at Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria
3. Friday, 26 February – Stormers v CA Brumbies at Newlands, Cape Town
4. Friday, 5 March – CA Brumbies v Lions at Canberra Stadium, Canberra
5. Saturday, 13 March – CA Brumbies v Sharks at Canberra Stadium, Canberra
6. Friday, 19 March – Blues v CA Brumbies at Eden Park, Auckland
7. Friday, 26 March – CA Brumbies v Chiefs at Canberra Stadium, Canberra
8. Fri/Sat, 2/3 April – BYE
9. Saturday, 10 April – CA Brumbies v Cheetahs at Canberra Stadium, Canberra
10. Friday, 16 April – CA Brumbies v Hurricanes at Canberra Stadium, Canberra
11. Saturday, 24 April – Waratahs v CA Brumbies at ANZ Stadium, Sydney
12. Saturday, 1 May – CA Brumbies v Reds at Canberra Stadium, Canberra
13. Saturday, 8 May – CA Brumbies v Highlanders at Canberra Stadium, Canberra
14. Saturday, 15 May – Crusaders v CA Brumbies at AMI Stadium, Christchurch

It’s going to be a tough start to the season but there’s a real chance to build momentum late in the season.

The game v the Hurricants should be a cracker. I had a mate fly over from Wellington for our home game against them a few years back. It was freezing, we one by one point – and I treasure the photo of him in front of the score board that warmed me for the rest of the season.
We say it every year for the ACT Brumbies (as we do for the Canberra Raiders) but next year might be better…

That’s a decent fixture. Would have been good to see home games against the Waratahs, Crusaders or Blues, tho.

It’ll be interesting to see whether the concentration of home games towards the end of the season (when the weather is colder) will affect crowd numbers.
