The voice of business in Canberra

State Focus, Southern Cross Ten, Sat. Oct 21st, 9am

• PATRICK JOHNSON – the Canberra-based sprinter is focused on the Commonwealth Games, but what will it take for him to crack the sub-10 seconds for the 100m in Melbourne?

• Learning to love windfarms – we speak with ACTEWAGL Chief JOHN MACKAY on the company’s involvement in a new $96mill windfarm at Tarago near Goulburn. You’ll be able to see the turbines from Lake George!

• Surfer PHIL MacDONALD – how does a kid born in Canberra manage to find himself ranked third in the world of surfing? Now living in Tomakin, Phil talks about what it’s like to surf against his idol, American Kelly Slater.

• Plus: Parking chaos in Civic…and ACT Bushfire chief Peter Dunn.

What’s Your opinion?

Hmmm…right idea, put more money into it for better production values, go live, and you might have a program worth watching.

I heard something on the radio today about someone in Civic wanting a carpark on City Hill…or something like that anyway.
