While in Glebe Park to get a quick pic of the toilets I couldn’t help noticing Gandhi’s balancing out his wins and losses.
The birds have not been kind to his head but it was nice of someone to leave him some flowers.

It’s good we have statues of figures who may have significance in some way, even if they’re not directly part of Australian history in the narrower sense. The Chinese community have erected a ConfucIus in Dickson, and Gandhi’s ideas on non-violence (and independence from Britain?) may inspire others.

Look I’m sure he was a great guy, but why is there a Gandhi stature here?
