The ABC brings word that the Waratahs have held on over our brave lads 17-14 at the SFS tonight.

Hopefully we’ll hear more soon on how the centre pairing of Mortlock and Ashley-Cooper went.
Nice to see Christian Lealiifano get among the points.
UPDATED: The Brumbies’ match report is now online. Reading between the lines it sounds like we really got thumped in the forwards with only a late burst putting respectability on the scoreboard.
(We’ll be sure to get to the bottom of it with Monday’s Rugby Podcast.)
Better now than in the regular season one supposes.

FURTHER UPDATE: The SMH’s Greg Growden has been suspiciously (and extremely uncharacteristically) pro-Brumbie in the pre-season. He suggests that we shouldn’t worry too much about last night.
