Have you ever heard of The Australiana Fund? No, neither had I (it turns out that they’re responsible for collecting Australian art works to deck the halls of the Governor-General’s and PM’s official residences in Canberra and Sydney). However, this Sunday they’re giving us the rare opportunity to see inside two of Canberra’s more exclusive abodes, with a combined Open Day for The Lodge and Government House. So why not come along to traipse the Prime Ministerial carpets, stickybeak through the bathroom cabinet and browse the magazines on the coffee table – perhaps you’ll even get to sit on the Prime Ministerial porcelain.
