Tell us your ideas for better services in West Belconnen

Do you use human services? Does the term ‘human services’ mean anything to you? It refers to the range of programs or supports that can respond to a person’s needs and can include public/social housing, health and wellbeing, education, disability, childcare, care and protection and justice.

Navigating these services – whether provided by government or non-government organisations – can be a problem and it’s one that we know needs to be addressed.

One way the ACT Government is looking to do this is through the Local Services Network, an initiative under the Human Services Blueprint. The Local Services Network wants to make delivery of human services easier for people and is initially focused on West Belconnen.

If you live in West Belconnen or provide services to the area what have your experiences of human services been? What has worked and what could be changed?

We have three forums coming up for you to tell us your ideas:

  • Flynn Community Hub 2pm – 4pm, Saturday 25 October
  • Holt Community Hall 10am – 12pm, Monday 27 October
  • Charnwood UC Life Centre 7pm – 9pm Wednesday 29 October

Or have your say online via the ACT Government’s Time to Talk website. For more information visit our page on Time to Talk.
