The Canberra Pursuit. A video

As part of the Spin Festival on Friday night 100 bikes did indeed trundle around the magnificent TAMS depot for The Canberra Pursuit.

A event like no other was promised and duly delivered.

Being involved was a tremendous amount of fun, and the audience seemed to enjoy the very strange proceedings too.

The above video captures well the vibe of the thing IMHO.

Wish I could have taken the boys along to see it, but wasn’t going to happen this time. Hope they do it again.

Limp Jimmy’s production is well worth a look:

Poetix–magical is the right word. ‘Captivating’ and ‘enchanting’ also spring to mind. Wonderful. The people who were there won’t forget it. That said, in typical Canberra fashion, a few thousand more punters at the event wouldn’t have gone astray. Said few thousand people were probably sitting in some crapulous faux Paddy pub complaining that there’s nothing to do in Canberra!

It was a fun night. Fantastic to see lots of kids enjoying the strange wonderment of it as well.

Tams need to be congratulated on the way parking and traffic signage was handled job well done

That looked quietly – or not so quietly – magical. I love the pink and blue light.
