Anthony Mundine (aka The Man) is coming to Canberra according to East Side Boxing saying that he’ll be at the AIS Arena on 7 Sep to fight Tanzanias Rashid Matumla in his next step to going for a world title fight.
A pretty good crowd at the AIS last night, I would have said 80-90% full.
Mundine was booed, the crowd yelled ‘bullsh1t’ at the end of the fight, the between round girls were hot (especially the one in black), and it was a good nights entertainment…
I want to see Green pummel him…..
And I wouldn’t mind seeing Mundine back in league, he was a very exciting player, if not quite as good as he would tell everyone.
Green V Mundine – according to my sources a majority of the bocking community in canberra want to see green take the Man down. I wouldn’t mind seeing that either – especially if it meant mundine actually returned to league afterwhich… he was a bloody good player
I should add that I hope he wins so we finally get to see him fight Danny Green.
Now that will be one fight I’d love to see….
I love boxing, but can’t afford it, and actually couldn’t be bothered.
In fact I think Mundine is a good bloke deep down with some genuine concerns for the welfare of people in general.
However, he comes across as an arrogant tosser.
Maybe when his boxing career is over he’ll be able to say the words ‘I’ and ‘me’ instead of refering to himself in interviews as ‘The man’ or ‘Anthony Mundine’. Hate that third person stuff.
Brian Lara does the same and he’s a tosser as well.
If I didn’t have my cross-stitch lesson that night, I’d be there too. Sounds exciting.
Well it is the first pro fight in the act in 20 years i hear, a lot of people do love their boxing.
I’m sure the lack of comments here don’t really predict the crowd numbers. I’m sure there can’t really be this level of disinterest in the man.
But then again, I’m not always right.
What should we call Canberra’s newest Light Rail Vehicle?
